"And then there was Maggie......and she broke my heart"
We have Spike, our Great Grandad of a Cocker in Chief, who is 13 and a half, and if you come to visit he is the snoring black mound tucked into the corner of the sofa, dreaming of the days when he was "Grouse Dog Supremo".
He is safe and he is very much loved.
I can't imagine Spike spending a single night in a place he didn't know, unsure of everything.
Maggie is 13
Maggie needs a sofa and a whole load of love.
Maggie needs it now.
I make no apologies for this post - I make no apologies for telling you that I cried. I have seen a fair few dogs in rescue, but for some reason Maggie rocked the normally stoical facade.
And then I got in the car to come home, put the radio on bugger me
